Cell structures

Only present in plant cells. It is much less flexible than the cell membrane and it gives the cell shape.

It decides what enters and exits the cell.

The most prominent roles of it are to produce the energy currency of the cell, ATP through respiration, and to regulate cellular metabolism.

It is a major collection and dispatch station of protein products received from the endoplasmic reticulum.

It serves many general functions, including the folding of protein molecules in sacs called cisternae and the transport of synthesized proteins in vesicles to the Golgi apparatus.

This organelle houses the cells DNA inside it.
